Westfield State Sweeps MASCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships
Westfield State's men's and women's indoor track & field teams swept the 2008 MASCAC Championships as part of Saturday's New England Alliance Championship hosted by the University of Southern Maine.

GORHAM, ME, Feb. 17, 2008 - Westfield State's men's and
women's teams earned a sweep of the 2008 MASCAC Indoor Track &
Field Championships hosted by the University of Southern Maine as
part of Saturday's New England Alliance Championships.
Both Westfield State teams successfully defended their 2007 titles on Saturday.
In the men's championship, the Owls posted 181 points to outdistance Worcester State (141), Fitchburg State (84), Salem State (62) and Bridgewater State (56) in the five-team field.
In the women's championship, the Owls tallied 240 points to outpace Worcester State (107), Fitchburg State (93), Bridgewater State (69) and Salem State (39).
