Bridgewater State Seeded Fourth In ECAC New England Softball Championships, Hosts Fifth Seeded Anna Maria Wednesday
The Bridgewater State softball team is seeded fourth in the 2010 ECAC New England Division III Championships and will host fifth-seeded Anna Maria in quarterfinal round action on Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Park in Bridgewater, Mass.

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Bridgewater State College softball team will be competing in the ECAC Division III New England Tournament which will get underway on Wednesday afternoon. The Bears are seeded fifth in the six-team tournament and will host fourth seeded Anna Maria College on Wednesday at 4.
Bridgewater (18-19) is making the program’s fifth appearance in an ECAC Tournament and first since 1988 when they won the regional tournament championship. Anna Maria (22-21) will be playing at BSC despite being the higher seed due to field specifications.
Keene State College (26-14-1) and Lesley University (25-11) are the top two teams and will receive a first round bye. In the other opening round game, third-seeded Western New England College (26-19-1) will entertain number six Worcester State College (19-17). After first round play, the four remaining team will play in a double-elimination format at Keene State on Saturday, May 15th and Sunday, May 16th.
