Fitchburg State Wins First-Ever MASCAC Women's Basketball Tournament Title
Top-seeded Fitchburg State earned its first-ever MASCAC Women's Basketball Tournament championship with a 66-45 win over third-seeded Salem State on Saturday afternoon.

Fitchburg State (25-2) in the Massachusetts State College
Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Tournament championship on
Saturday afternoon with a 66-45 win over third-seeded
Salem State (17-11).
With its win on Saturday, Fitchburg State becomes just the third team in MASCAC history to win the conference tournament title since 1990. Salem State had won the last 14 titles, dating back to 1993. Westfield State was the only other school to ever win the MASCAC Tournament championship when it did so back in 1992.
Fitchburg State will now await its seeding and opponent in the upcoming NCAA Division III Championship.
