Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts first year forward Jen Wehner has been named New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Rookie of

the Week for the week of January 12-18. In a perfect 2-0 week for the

Trailblazers, she averaged a double-double on 15.5 points and 14.0

rebounds. On Tuesday, she netted the game winning three pointer as time

expired in her team's 59-57 triumph over Salem State College. Wehner

finished with 13 points and 13 boards in the contest. It was MCLA's first

win over the Vikings in a series that has spanned 28 years. On Saturday,

Wehner collected 18 points and 15 rebounds in a 83-67 win over Green

Mountain College. It was her second double-double of the week.
