The Bridgewater State duo of Joey Molis and David Kern claim the MASCAC Baseball Player, Rookie and Pitcher of the Week honors after competing in Florida last week. Awards brought to you by GEICO.

Molis batted .480 (12-25) with a pair of doubles and two runs scored in six games for the Bears. Also walked twice and recorded a .560 slugging percentage and .519 on base percentage. Recorded multiple hits in five of the six games. Went 3-for-4 in a setback to Wooster College; 3-4 with a walk and a run scored in a setback to #15 Marietta College; 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles in a 4-3 win over Pitt.-Bradford College; 2-for-4 in a setback to Ohio Wesleyan University; and 2-for-4 with a walk and run scored in a setback to Heidelberg University. |

Kerns allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits in 7 1/3 innings with a pair of walks and three strikeouts for the no decision against Ohio Wesleyan at the Snowbird Baseball Classic in Port Charlotte, Florida. |
