17 MASCAC Student-Athletes Earn ABCA/D3Baseball All-Region Honors

Jesse Buonocore and Owen Sullivan of Anna Maria, Cam Beltramini, Ryan Flaherty, Matt Kustigian, DJ Prampin, Rylan Secovich and Benjamin Sepeck of Bridgewater State, Joseph Abt of Fitchburg State, Roshan Warriar of MCLA, Jake Duffy, Nate Kaczynski and Colsen Loughren of Mass. Maritime, Nolan Currier of Salem State, Sam Palmer and Andre Phaneuf of Westfield State and Kevin Doyle of Worcester State all received honors from either organization.
In the regular season, Sullivan appeared in 10 games, with eight starts, for the AMCATS, posting a 6-2 record and five complete games across 53.2 innings pitched. The junior allowed just 11 earned runs while striking out 66 batters, finishing the season with a 1.84 ERA, 11.07 strikeouts per nine innings, and a 1.06 WHIP, solidifying him as one of the top pitchers in the conference
Buonocore was another AMCAT ace, making 13 appearances with 11 starts for Anna Maria, recording a 7-3 record with four complete games over 67.2 innings pitched. The sophomore struck out 65 batters while posting a 2.39 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP, allowing just 18 earned runs on the season.
Beltramini, who hails from Hanson, Massachusetts, started 37 games at catcher for the Bears in 2026. He batted .375 (45-120) with four home runs, 11 doubles, a triple, six stolen bases, 15 HBP, 39 runs and 26 RBI while posting an impressive .500 on base percentage as well as a .583 slugging percentage.
Flaherty batted .367 (55-150) with four home runs, ten doubles, 25 walks, 33 runs and a MASCAC-leading 45 RBI in 2026 while starting all 40 games. The Duxbury, Massachusetts native also notched 77 total bases and posted a .513 sluggling percentage as well as a .453 on base percentage.
A Worcester, Massachusetts product, Prampin started all 40 games in 2026 and batted .348 (46-132) with a MASCAC-leading nine home runs to go along with five doubles, a triple, 21 walks, 47 runs and 34 RBI. He also stole 23 bases and recorded a .460 on base percentage and a .606 sluggling percentage.
Kustigian, who hails from Charlton, Massachusetts went 5-0 with one save in a MASCAC-leading 18 appearances out of the bullpen for the Bears in 2026. He posted a 2.88 earned run average and a 0.96 WHIP with 26 strikeouts and just seven walks in 40 2/3 innings of work while opponents batted just .218 against him. In 38 appearances (all in relief) over four seasons at Bridgewater State, Kustigian went 6-2 with a save and 43 strikeouts in 63 1/3 innings on the mound.
A native of Southwick, Massachusetts, Secovich immediately made his presecence felt in the BSU lineup in 2026 after transferring from Dean College. He batted .395 (62-157) while starting all 40 games in centerfield with five doubles, five triples and a school-record 41 stolen bases. Secovich also posted a .464 on base percentage and played a dazzling centerfield with no errors and three outfield assists.
Sepeck took full advantage of being in the everyday lineup for the first time in his career. The Whitman, Massachusetts product batted .348 (46-132) in 39 games (37 starts) with a MASCAC-leading 16 double to go along with a home run, a triple, 30 runs and 31 RBI. He also posted a .438 on base percentage and a .508 slugging percentage.
Abt concluded this past season, batting a team best .432 with a single season best 60 hits, ten doubles, two home runs, 30 RBI, 27 runs scored, 12 walks and 12 stolen bases. For his efforts, Abt was also named to the 2026 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) first team.
Warriar led the Trailblazers with a .328 batting average, 42 hits, 26 runs scored, five doubles, two triples, 14 RBI, 14 walks and 15 stolen bases on the year.
Duffy batted .312 with seven home runs, two triples, and one double while driving in 32 runs and scoring 40 times. He also drew 23 walks and stole nine bases in 11 attempts.
Kaczynski batted .485 with a team-leading eight home runs, eight doubles, and two triples while driving in 34 runs and scoring 43. He also posted a .570 on-base percentage and a .758 slugging percentage. His performance earned him MASCAC Player of the Year honors and a spot on the All-MASCAC First Team. Defensively, Kaczynski recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, committing no errors in 95 total chances.
Loughren nabbed MASCAC All-Conference honors earlier this month after batting .360 with a .573 slugging percentage with 32 total hits, six doubles, two triples, three home runs, 23 RBI, 20 runs scored and eight walks.
On the mound, Currier had a career year for Salem, setting numerous career-bests: wins (six), complete games (four), innings pitched (50.1), strikeouts (54), ERA (1.07), and WHIP (0.97. strikeouts, ERA, and WHIP. In terms of the MASCAC, he ranked among the top five in multiple pitching categories, including ERA (1st), wins (2nd), K/9 (5th), and WHIP (2nd). His 1.07 ERA was also the third best in all of Division III and was the only pitcher from the MASCAC to be ranked within the top five in the country. Currier struck out five or more batters in each start, highlighted by a career-high 11 in a 3-0 win over Anna Maria, where he allowed just two hits. Along with his strong season, he was named MASCAC Pitcher of the Week twice. At the plate, Currier also had a stellar year for the Vikes. He posted 26 hits, six doubles, a career-high three triples, 18 RBIs, a .404 on-base percentage, and a career-high .500 slugging percentage.
Palmer was one of 12 outfielders selected out of the region, finishing the season with a slash line of .380/.471/.577 with 54 hits, four home runs, and 31 runs batted in. He led the team and was fifth in the MASCAC in batting average while holding the team lead in hits, extra base hits, doubles, home runs, on-base and slugging percentage.
In just his sophomore season, Phaneuf received all-region third team honors as a starting pitcher and was one of three MASCAC pitchers selected across the three teams. He finished the year fourth in the conference with a 2.79 earned run average, making 11 appearances and nine starts for a 2-5 record in 51.2 innings pitched. He struck out 50 and walked 21 with a WHIP of 1.30.
Doyle earned first team ABCA honors after batting .440 with a .681 slugging and .532 on-base percentage plus 51 total hits, five doubles, a triple, seven home runs, 41 runs scored, 31 RBI, 20 walks and 22 stolen bases.
The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-America teams will be announced on the evening of Thursday, May 28, following the Opening Ceremony at the 2026 NCAA Division III World Series in Eastlake, Ohio. Only First Team All-Region selections are eligible for All-America honors.
