Bridgewater State Earns Top Seed in 2026 MASCAC Baseball Tournament
Claiming their fifth straight MASCAC Regular Season title, Bridgewater State looks to make it five in a row as the number one seed in the upcoming MASCAC Baseball Tournament which starts on Thursday.

The tournament begins on Thursday with the first round and quarterfinal contests. Up first #3 Worcester State and #6 Mass. Maritime face off with the winner taking on #2 Salem State while #4 Anna Maria takes on #5 Westfield State with that winner meeting #1 Bridgewater State.
On Friday, the bracket continues as double elimination with tournament culminating on Saturday with an if needed game Sunday for the MASCAC Tournament Championship and spot in the NCAA Tournament.
Bridgewater State earned the top spot after finishing the season 21-3 in MASCAC action. Leading the way was DJ Prampin who hit at a .339 clip with a .617 slugging percentage, 39 total hits, five doubles, nine home runs, 32 RBI, 37 runs scored, 16 walks and 22 stolen bases on the year.
Getting the other hosting duties is Salem State. The Vikings got the second seed with a 16-8 record. Nolan Currier was dominant on the mound for the team, going 6-0 over 44.1 innings pitched, giving up only five earned runs, a 1.02 ERA and 49 strikeouts. He also hit .338 with four doubles, three triples, 15 RBI, 17 runs and nine walks.
Worcester State lands in the third spot after also finishing 16-8 during conference action. Helping the Lancers was Kevin Doyle who batted .449 with a .714 slugging and .530 on-base percentage, 44 hits, five doubles, seven home runs, 24 RBI, 15 walks, 30 runs and 17 stolen bases.
Coming in fourth is Anna Maria. The AMCATS were 15-9 in MASCAC play and led by Owen Sullivan who went 6-2 on the season over 53.2 innings with a 1.84 ERA, 66 strikeouts, five complete games and two shutouts.
Rounding out the tournament field is Westfield State and Mass. Maritime with the fifth and sixth seed, respectively. For the Owls, Sam Palmer was solid for the team with a .364 batting average, .545 slugging percentage, 48 hits, 10 doubles, a triple, four home runs, 30 RBI, 32 runs scored, 16 walks and 20 stolen bases. For the Bucs, Nate Kaczynski led the MASCAC in batting average at .480 with a .764 slugging and .566 on-base percentage, 41 runs, eight doubles, two triples, eight home runs, 33 RBI, 23 walks and four stolen bases.
During the 2025 tournament, top seed Bridgewater State defeated #2 Mass. Maritime in the if necessary game to claim their fourth straight title and trip to the NCAA Tournament.
