MASCAC Baseball Weekly Awards 5/4
The Bridgewater State trio of Ryan Flaherty, Trey Yesu and Ethan Palmer earn the MASCAC Baseball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week honors after leading the Bears to the MASCAC Regular Season title.

Flaherty batted .385 (10-26) in a 4-2 week for the Bears with two doubles, two walks, a hit by pitch, three runs and 10 RBI to help clinch the regular season title. Also posted a .448 on base percentage and a .462 slugging percentage. Went 4-for-9 with a walk, a run and three RBI in a MASCAC doubleheader split with Worcester State; 2-for-5 with a walk, two runs and two RBI in a non-conference setback to Wentworth; and 4-for-12 with a pair of doubles, a hit by pitch, two runs and five RBI in a three-game MASCAC series sweep of Anna Maria. |

Yesu tossed a nine-inning, complete game, five-hit shutout in the Bears’ 6-0 MASCAC win over Anna Maria College. Walked just one and struck out seven as the Bears secured the conference regular season title outright and the top seed in the this week’s MASCAC Tournament. Weekly Report 5/4 |
