Western Connecticut quarterback Will Arndt, Bridgewater State wide receiver Matt Green and Framingham State linebacker Svenn Jacobson have earned Eastern States Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) football weekly honors.
This isn't the first honor this week for the three Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference student-athletes as they were named offensive, special teams and rookie of the week honorees, respectively by the conference.
In their conference opener, Arndt broke a school-record with six touchdowns on 268 yards passing in the Colonials’ 45-7 win over Plymouth State. He threw five of six touchdowns of 34, 12, 6, 10 and 12 yards all in the first half of the contest.
On special teams, Green was solid for Bridgewater State, returning two punts for touchdowns to set a school single-game record in the Bears’ 51-27 win over Worcester State. He also had three kickoff returns for 60 yards.
Framingham State's Jacobson made a career-high 10 tackles and an interception in the Rams’ 29-26 win over Fitchburg State.
The MASCAC continues their conference schedule this weekend with contest on Friday and Saturday.
