MASCAC Football Weekly Report 10/3
The WestConn duo of Mack Driver and Ambrose Richards take home the MASCAC Football Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week while Thomas Fay of Bridgewater State and Hunter Lassere of Massachusetts Maritime are the Special Teams and Rookie of the Week honorees.

Offensive Player of the Week |

Driver rushed 17 times for 119 yards (averaged seven yards a carry) and scored three touchdowns to lead WestConn to a come-from-behind 34-19 victory over UMass-Dartmouth. Down 13-0, Mack scored touchdowns of 3 and 17 yards then added another 18 yard score to make it 27-13 in the third.

Defensive Player of the Week |

Richards recorded eight tackles, two solo, with 3.5 tackles for a loss of 18 yards and two sacks for 12 yards in WestConn’s 34-19 win over UMass-Darmouth.

Special Teams Player of the Week |

|
Fay converted all six of his extra point attempts, and averaged 43 yards on four punts with two inside the 20 in the Bears’ 42-0 MASCAC win at Fitchburg State.

Rookie of the Week |
|
Lassere racked up eight tackles, a half sack, made two tackles for loss and recovered a fumble for the Buccaneers in the 16-8 win over Westfield State.
