Westfield State University senior forward Amanda Burns (Hillsdale, N.Y.) has been selected the Little East Conference field hockey offensive player of the week.

Burns netted a hat trick to power Westfield State to a 6-3 season-opening victory over Becker College on Sept. 1. Burns registered the eventual game-winner in the 51st minute prior and completed her hat trick less than nine minutes later.
