MASCAC Field Hockey Weekly Awards 9/11
After going 1-0-1 in non-conference play, the Bridgewater State trio of Zoe Bergeron, Emelia Westwater and Madison Ellis claim the MASCAC Field Hockey Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week honors.

Bergeron scored a pair of goals in a 1-0-1 week for the Bears. Found the back of the net in 1-1 tie against Eastern Connecticut State. Also scored in a 4-0 shutout victory over Dean College. |

Defensive Player of the Week |
|
Westwater backstopped the Bears’ defensive effort in a 1-0-1 week. Helped limit scoring opportunities from her center back position. Had a number of defensive blocks and tackles in the circle and was on the defensive corner unit that stopped all 14 corner attempts in a 1-1 tie with Eastern Connecticut State. The Bears’ defense limited Dean College to just one shot in a 4-0 shutout victory. |

Rookie of the Week |

Ellis had a hand in all four goals in the Bears’ 4-0 shutout victory over Dean College as she tallied a goal and three assists. Also took the initial shot that led to Zoe Bergeron’s rebound goal in a hard-fought 1-1 tie on the road against Eastern Connecticut State. |
