The Westfield State duo of Brendon Hamilton and Kuany Teng are the MASCAC Men's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week after winning the York Tournament Invitational title over the weekend.

| Hamilton was named the MVP of the York Invitational Tournament, as the Owls won the team title as part of a 3-0 week. Hamilton averaged 20.3 points ,16.7 rebounds, and two blocked shots per game. He posted a double-double in all three games, and came up with 19 points and 20 rebounds as the Owls defeated York (NY) 101-71 in the title game of the tournament. |
Rookie of the Week
Kuany Teng, Westfield State
Sophomore, Forward, Manchester, N.H.
Teng averaged 11.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in a 3-0 week
for the Owls to capture the York Invitational Tournament title. Tossed in
22 points on 6-8 shooting from behind the arc in a 102-80 win over Keystone
College, and had 10 points and seven boards in a 91-73 win over Wheaton
College (Mass.).
