Brendon Hamilton of Westfield State and Keyth Key of Bridgewater State take home the MASCAC Men's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week honors after the first weekend of December competition.

| Hamilton averaged 21 points, 20 rebounds, three assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in a 2-0 week for the Owls. Posted a double-double of 21 points and 21 rebounds with five assists in the 87-54 win over Elms College, then followed with a 21-point, 19-rebound, three-block performance in an 86-76 win over Mitchell College. Through Friday’s games, Hamilton ranked fourth in the country in rebounds. |
Rookie of the Week
Keyth Key, Bridgewater State
Sophomore, Forward, Springfield, Mass.
Key averaged 18 points, seven rebounds and 1.5 steals while shooting
57.1% (12-21) from the floor, 62.5% (5-8) from three-point range and
77.8% (7-9) at the free throw line. Scored a career-high 24 points and
added seven rebounds and three steals in a 76-71 win on the road over
Wheaton College. Notched 12 points, seven rebounds, an assist and
blocked shot in an 82-69 setback to Emerson College.
