Worcester State to Host 2025 MASCAC Men's Golf Championship
The 2025 MASCAC Men’s Golf Championship will tee off September 20-21 at the Blissful Meadows Golf Club in Uxbridge, Mass. hosted by Worcester State.
The 2025 MASCAC Men’s Golf Championship will tee off September 20-21 at the Blissful Meadows Golf Club in Uxbridge, Mass. hosted by Worcester State.
The championship is a two day, 36-hole stroke play tournament. There will be seven teams competing- Marymount University, Marywood University, MCLA, Salem State University, Springfield College, Westfield State University and Worcester State University. The first group will tee off at 10 am on September 20 and then September 21, the pairings will begin at 10.
At the 2024 Championship, the Vikings defeated runner-up MCLA with a two-day team total of 619 while the Trailblazers carded 627 as a team. With the victory, Salem State earns the MASCAC automatic qualifier into the 2025 NCAA Division III Championships, which will be held May 20-23 at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, N.Y.
MCLA's Mat Gover earned his second straight MASCAC Individual Champion honors after shooting a two day total of 142 (71-71) to finish two under. Matthew Kumpulanian earned MASCAC Rookie of the Year honors as he finished tied for sixth overall with a 158, which included a 77 on Saturday. In addition to being named the top newcomer in the conference, Kumpulanian secured a spot on the all-conference second team as he totaled 10 pars on Sunday.
The Trailblazers Jeremiah Ketts was voted by his fellow coaches as the 2024 BSN Sports Coach of the Year.
Spectators will be allowed to attend. Spectators will not have access to course golf carts so please plan accordingly.
