PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University men’s ice hockey team honored local military members and their families last Saturday evening during Salute The Troops Night when the Panthers hosted Fitchburg State University at Hanaway Rink.
The Panthers raffled off game-worn camouflage jerseys, with all the proceeds benefitting The Scott Milley Foundation. The foundation is set up to help the families of Army Ranger graduates afford accommodations to attend their son or daughter’s graduation. It also provides scholarships at Lincoln-Sudbury High School in Massachusetts, and assists families in the area that have lost a loved one in battle.
Joining in the festivities were family members of Lieutenant Scott Milley, younger brother of former Panther defenseman Steve Milley, who was killed in a combat mission, and family members of Captain Doug DiCenzo of Plymouth, who was killed in combat in 2006.
