The Fitchburg State duo of Paulino Guevara Mateo and Liam Bourassa take home the MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field weekly honors.

Guevara Mateo finished fourth overall in the 10,000 meters with a new school record time of 29:54.14 for the Falcons at the 2026 F.I.R.E meet, hosted by Williams College on Friday. Currently 23rd nationally in the event. Weekly Report 5/12 |

Bourassa took top honors in the javelin with a toss of 69.40 meters, while also finishing first overall in the hammer throw with a toss of 58.81 meters. Concluded the day, placing seventh in the shotput with a throw of 15.39 meters and sixth in the discus with a toss of 45.30 meters for the Falcons at the 2026 All-New England Championships this past weekend, hosted by Stonehill College. Improved on his second place ranking in DIII in the javelin with last weekend’s throw. Weekly Report 5/12 |
