Bridgewater State Seeks Repeat at 2025 Men’s Cross Country Championship
The 2024 MASCAC Men’s Cross Country Champion Bridgewater State has been selected by the coaches from around the conference as the preseason favorite to take home the team title at this year’s cross country championship.

Westfield, Mass.— The 2024 MASCAC Men’s Cross Country Champion Bridgewater State has been selected by the coaches from around the conference as the preseason favorite to take home the team title at this year’s cross country championship.
The Bears received four of the first place votes. Last year, Kyle Ackroyd earned All-Conference honors after he crossed the line in fourth with an 8k time of 26:20 with all of the Bears top five runners finishing in the top 10 to win the team crown.
Last season’s team runner-up Westfield State is second with the final two first place votes. In 2024, Nathan Sylven grabbed his second straight All-Conference award after finishing in third with an 8k time of 26:35.
Framingham State is picked to finish third in this year’s poll. Aaron Corlette earned a top 10 nod with a ninth place finish for the Rams at the MASCAC Championship last season with a time of 26:56 in his first season with the team.
Landing in the fourth spot is Fitchburg State. During last year’s championship, Taban Manyok came in second with a time of 26:25. Samual Edwards ran a time of 26:55, good enough for eighth and the 2024 MASCAC Rookie of the Year honors.
Sitting in fifth is Massachusetts Maritime. Spencer Reese had a solid showing, finishing 18th with an 8k time of 28:07 as the Buccaneers top finisher.
Rounding out this year’s preseason poll is Worcester State in sixth. During the 2024 MASCAC meet, Kelan Mahoney was the top finisher for the Lancers, coming in 22nd place with an 8k time of 28:39.
Over the next few weeks, the six MASCAC men’s cross country teams will begin their season culminating with the MASCAC Championship on November 1 hosted by Westfield State.
