MASCAC Softball Weekly Awards 4/28
The Framingham State duo of Makalya Rooney and Ellie Etemad-Gilbertson plus Peyton Maloney of Worcester State take home the MASCAC Softball Player, Rookie and Pitcher of the Week awards.

Rooney batted .556 (10-for-18) with four doubles, six walks, five RBI, 10 runs scored with a .667 on-base percentage in a 4-2 week for the Rams. Went 4-of-5 with three doubles and four walks, including the walk-off hit in a sweep of Salem State. Was 3-for-7 with a double, two runs scored and two walks in a split with MMA. Went 3-for-4 with three RBI in the 10-1 win over Wentworth. |

Pitcher of the Week |

Maloney threw two complete game shutouts, only giving up three hits, no runs, 20 strikeouts and two walks for the Lancers. Went the distance over six innings with only one hit and 12 strikeouts in the 9-0 win over Fitchburg State. Followed that up with a two hit clean sheet with eight strikeouts and two walks in the 13-0 win over Lasell. |

Etemad-Gilbertson hit .545 (12-of-22), scoring 10 runs and stealing six bases in a 4-2 week for the Rams. |
