ECAC Women's Basketball Weekly Report

Senior Jen Ashton of Westfield State has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Co-Player of the Week as announced by the league this week.

Earlier this week, Ashton earned her second straight MASCAC Player of the Week accolade. She shares the ECAC crown this week with Abbie Brickley of Wheaton College.

In the Owls lone game of the week, Ashton scored a career-high 30 points with five steals, four assists and three rebounds in a 78-57 Owls win last week. The senior guard shot 62.5 percent (10-of-16) from the floor and 80 percent (8-of-10) from the charity stripe.

Westfield State is 12-4 on the season, and 4-0 in the MASCAC. The Owls will be back in action at MCLA on Saturday for a 1 p.m. start.
