Fitchburg State and Worcester State Women's Lacrosse Earn IWLCA Academic Honors
The Fitchburg State and Worcester State women's lacrosse teams have been recognized for their academic excellence by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
GRAND LAKE, Colo. -- The Fitchburg State and Worcester State women's lacrosse teams have been recognized for their academic excellence by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
Both squads were given Academic Honor Squad recognition after finishing the year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. 125 schools earned IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Squad honors for the 2014 season.
This season, the Fitchburg State women’s lacrosse team concluded the 2014 campaign with an overall record of 9-9 and a 3-3 mark in the MASCAC. Eight Falcons were named earlier this summer to the MASCAC Spring All-Academic team for their excellence in the classroom.
Worcester State finished their 2014 season as the runners-up in the MASCAC Tournament and lost to Curry in a closely contested ECAC Division III New England Championship game. 12 student-athletes from the women's lacrosse team were named to the MASCAC Spring All-Academic team.
