Worcester State Earns Number One Seed in the 2025 MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament
After claiming a share of the MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Regular Season title, the Worcester State Lancers earn the number seed in this week's tournament which begins on Tuesday.

The tournament kicks off with the quarterfinal round of games with #3 Framingham State hosting #6 Fitchburg State at 7 pm while #4 Bridgewater State and #5 Salem State are at 4 pm. The two quarterfinal winners will meet #1 Worcester State and #2 Westfield State on Thursday, May 1 with the Lancers hosting the lowest remaining seed at 6 pm then the other remaining seed faces the Owls at 7 pm.
The two semifinal winners will then meet on Saturday, May 3 at the highest remaining seed for the MASCAC Tournament Championship and a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
Worcester State took home a share of the regular season title with a 5-1 record in league play. The Lancers were led by Abbie Wing who finished the regular season in the top five of the conference in goals with 53, 61 points and 87 shots on goals. She also had eight assists, 14 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers.
Grabbing the other first round bye is Westfield State with the second seed. The Owls also were 5-1 at the end of MASCAC play to earn regular season champ honors. Natalie DeMaio led the team with 50 goals while assisting on eight others. Going 9-for-15 on free position shots while collecting 14 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers.
Sitting in the third spot is Framingham State with a 4-2 mark. Guiding the Rams to hosting duties in the first round is Hailey Baker. She finished the regular season with 65 points on 23 goals and 42 assists with a 52.3 shooting percentage. She gathered up 23 ground balls and caused 11 turnovers.
Earning the other first round hosting opportunity is Bridgewater State with the fourth seed. The Bears were 4-2 and led by Camryn Goncalves who had the most goals in the conference with 62 and third most with assists at 32. She also collected 36 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers.
Rounding out this year's tournament field is Salem State with the fifth seed and Fitchburg State with the sixth. For the Vikings in her first year with the team, Jordan Turcotte netted 43 goals and 16 assists for 59 plus 29 draw controls, 12 ground balls and nine caused turnovers. For the Falcons, Autumn Tibbetts led the team with 30 goals and 24 assists for 54 points. She also had 22 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers and five draw controls.
At the 2024 tournament title game, #2 Westfield State defeated #1 Framingham State, 11-6 to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
