Kiara Abrantes and Serenity Sands of Bridgewater State along with Emma Daly of Westfield State claim the MASCAC Women's Indoor Track and Field weekly accolades.

Abrantes captured top honors and broke the school record in the 60-meter dash with a finals time of 7.66 seconds at the Tufts Branwen Smith-King Invitational. Also placed first in the 200-meter dash with a career-best indoor time of 25.04 seconds. Eclipsed the Bears’ previous 60 mark of 7.69 seconds. Currently ranks fourth in all of Division III in the 200 and ninth in the 60. She is the top ranked sprinter in both events in the East Region. |

Daly recorded a New England Division III provisional mark in the 55m dash, converted to 60m time, finishing third in the event with a time of 7.71 seconds. She was also seventh out of 24 athletes in the 200, then added a fourth-place leap in the high jump at a height of 1.43m at Coast Guard on Saturday. Weekly Report 1/21 |
