Framingham State's Matt Silva and Haley Chamberlain have earned Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) football and women's cross country weekly awards.
Silva earned his second straight Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week honors earlier this week while Chamberlain took home both MASCAC Runner and Rookie of the Week for women's cross country.
Earning the ECAC DIII New England Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors, Silva completed 23-of-31 passes for 448 yards with three touchdowns and one rushing touchdown in the Rams’ 48-14 win over UMass Dartmouth. The junior tossed touchdowns of 57, one and 11 yards, while rushing two yards for his fourth touchdown of the game.
Chamberlain, who was named the ECAC DIII New England Co-Rookie, was the top finisher out of 71 runners with a 5K time of 20:02 at the CCRI Tri-State Invitational.
