Cass of Bridgewater State Earns Third Straight MASCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Year Honors, Headlines 2025 All-Conference Team
For the third straight year, Naomi Cass of Bridgewater State is named the MASCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Year after finishing as the top overall competitor at the conference championship on Saturday. Her result also headlines the 2025 All-Conference team.

Westfield, Mass. — For the third straight year, Naomi Cass of Bridgewater State is named the MASCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Year after finishing as the top overall competitor at the conference championship on Saturday. Her result also headlines the 2025 All-Conference team.
Cass, a senior from Westport, Mass., won the 2025 MASCAC Women’s Cross Country meet with a 5k time of 17:59 to earn the Runner of the Year accolades, 34 seconds faster then the next highest finisher. Her time helped guide the Bears to a team runner-up finish. The last Bear to win three straight MASCAC titles was Molly Rouillard during the 2010-2012 championships.S
Joining Cass as a major award winner was the Bears’ Olivia Pendleton who earns 2025 MASCAC Women’s Cross Country Rookie of the Year as the top first time performer. At her first MASCAC Championship, Pendleton crossed the line in 11th with a time of 20:05.
After leading the Owls to their sixth straight MASCAC team title, Marlee Berg-Haryasz of Westfield State was named the 2025 BSN Sports Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year as voted on by the coaches around the league.
Sitting on this year’s All-Conference Team with Cass are Rhiannon Vos of Bridgewater State, Skye Goba of Fitchburg State, Tealei Chandonnet, Shea Hamel, Julianne Kelly, Brynne Lecours, Samantha Panzeri, Brooke Soucy and Reese Stevens of Westfield State.
